February Newsletter & Neighborhood Meeting

The second month into the new year means the second SACC newsletter of the new year! Check out the February newsletter now.

In case you missed it, here is the January newsletter.

Don't forget that our first neighborhood meeting of the year will be Monday, February 24th at 7 pm at St. Elizabeth's. We will be serving delicious snacks from Couvillion and our featured speaker will be representatives from Gresham Smith, the design firm heading the Eastern Parkway redesign project.

Over the last year, the project's team conducted a study of Eastern Parkway, from Crittenden Drive to Cherokee Park, gathered public comments, and analyzed traffic data from the corridor. The project seeks to improve usability, connect sidewalks, create bike lanes, and resolve congestion issues, all while preserving the tree canopy on the Olmsted designed parkway.

Plans include reconfiguring intersections and adding roundabouts. The plans were unveiled to the public at a meeting on Tuesday, January 28th.

You can read more about the project in this WDRB article.
