Back to School Bash this Saturday!

We've been noticing a lot of big, yellow school buses cruising around the neighborhood these past few days and that can only mean one thing - BACK TO SCHOOL!  To celebrate, join us in Emerson Park for a Back to School Bash this Saturday, August 10th from 2-4 pm.  The event will be starring the "Bookmobile" from the Louisville Free Public  Library, which will feature storytelling and give you a chance to sign up for a library card.

Come get your picture taken with our local firemen on the fire engine!  Talk to police officers about their jobs and what they do in the community to keep us safe.  Learn about the 4-H club and how you can join.  Learn about gardening, soil sampling, science and nutrition.  Learn how our local UK Extension Office serves our community and about the free information/classes they have for your home, science, and nutrition.

Make it a play date and bring your coolers! We will have an ice cream truck with cool treats!  So, PLEASE come join us for a great learning experience and a real good time for the entire family. The fun will be unlimited with surprises!

Also going on in the park Saturday is a clothing swap called "Kids Grow!  Clothes Don't!" You will have the opportunity to swap (not sell) uniforms and clothing, so your kid can go back to school in style.  Check out the event on Facebook
